Album Review #1: Ed Sheeran - No.6 Collaborations Project

TITLE      No.6 Collaborations Project

ARTIST    Ed Sheeran

RELEASE DATE   July 12, 2019

LABEL              Atlantic Records

NO. OF TRACKS  15

To preface this, I am going to be starting a series where I host reviews of several albums that have garnered a fair amount of attention on the music scene. Currently, I am on tap to review Taylor Swift's Lover when it surfaces next month. However, I would like to conduct a couple of album reviews in between this one and that one. I will take requests for album reviews. They could either be albums or EP's. I am open to anything. So, if you would like to see me give a review of some of your favorite songs, just give a shout down below, and I will see what I can do. I am looking forward to expanding my content in a beneficial way with these reviews, and I hope you enjoy parceling through them. Each review will consist of each track on the album's title, a letter grade to accompany each track, and my short review of each track on the album. At the end, I will arrive at a verdict of whether or not I recommend the album to you, and select my top picks from the album. My overall grade for the album will be featured at the beginning of the review, on the image of the album cover. So, without further adieu, here is my review of Ed Sheeran's No.6 Collaborations Project. I hope that you enjoy, and I would love to see what you think down in the comments.

Track #1: Beautiful People (feat. Khalid)
Grade: A-

Beautiful People is a classic example of what I like to hear from Ed Sheeran. It harnesses his normal pop aesthetic, and by putting Khalid on this track that aesthetic becomes emphasized tenfold. His lyrical skills are showcased rather impeccably here, and it becomes hard not to find something to like in this song given Sheeran and Khalid's vocal abilities as they sing about "beautiful people". All in all, this gave me a nice welcome feel to the album, and was the perfect choice for the album's opener.

Track #2: South Of The Border (feat. Camila Cabello & Cardi B)
Grade: A

This track has the kind of vibe that I was expecting going into it. It is very reminiscent of Sheeran's very popular Shape Of You. There is quite a sensual vibe here, while aiming to keep it true to a traditional pop hit. Ed Sheeran has nice and controlled vocals here that compliment Camila Cabello's vocals rather nicely. Camila Cabello and Cardi B both deliver excellent verses that fit the structure of the tune rather nicely. I can definitely say without question that this is a stand-out track all around with its nice infectious and spiritual pop vibe.

Track #3: Cross Me (feat. Chance The Rapper & PnB Rock)
Grade: C+

Cross Me has presented me with a fluctuating set of opinions on the song. At one moment, I enjoy this R&B song and find it rather catchy and at another I can easily spot its flaws and find it rather annoying. At this point, I'll say that this one is somewhere in the middle. While this can prove to be good at times, Sheeran's vocals aren't top-notch here and Chance The Rapper and PnB Rock honestly deliver some fairly average features. So, in the end, I gather that this track is truly nothing special.

Track #4: Take Me Back To London (feat. Stormzy)
Grade: C+

I suppose I somewhat enjoy the energy in this song, but overall Take Me Back To London is nothing amazing. Sure, it proves to be pretty catchy, but underneath there isn't a whole lot there. Both Sheeran and Stormzy rap about being famous, and at often times their offerings can sound boastful and braggy. In the end, I enjoy the production and appreciate the energy on this track. However, the vocal offerings and lyrics leave a little bit to be desired.

Track #5: Best Part Of Me (feat. YEBBA)
Grade: B-

While I do appreciate a good slow song and ballad as much as the next guy, this fifth track really doesn't live up to all of my expectations. The background music and sounds here are nice, which is about the only part of the song that was extremely solid. Here, Sheeran and newcomer YEBBA sing on all their insecurities and how those insecurities have shaped their views on love. However, about two minutes into Best Part Of Me, I kind of grew tired of the song. Sure, it is able to offer its sweet moments, but it felt too long and dragged out. Four minutes is a lot longer than you think. But, I don't know, this one could be a grower.

Track #6: I Don't Care (with Justin Bieber)
Grade: B

I Don't Care has been around for a while now, so I'm not going to spend too much time on this one. This song is pretty much the average pop song. I have gone in and out of absolutely enjoying this song to feeling as if it was a chore to go and listen to it. I am able to appreciate the vocals on this track and the aims they had with this one. However, everything here kind of just blends together with so many other things we have heard in this decade of music.

Track #7: Antisocial (with Travis Scott)
Grade: C

Next up is Antisocial with Travis Scott...and I thought it was pretty subpar. Ed Sheeran showcases his rapping skills more prominently here, and with Travis Scott also rapping on this track, the overall trap influence here feels a little bit too weighty. I suppose the chorus is the best part of this song, as I can certainly envision it being stuck in my head. But, that is about it with this one. While it certainly shows a different side of Sheeran, this one isn't as good as what you would think.

Track #8: Remember The Name (feat. Eminem & 50 Cent)
Grade: F

It honestly pained me to sit through the entirety of this song, let alone ten seconds of it. This is probably the worst I have ever heard from Ed Sheeran. While I thoroughly enjoyed the Sheeran-Eminem collaboration from 2017 in the form of River--Remember The Name is completely awful. All three artists on this track sound terrible. I understand the retro vibes that they were going for here, but the overall musical infidelity featured in this song distracts me from focusing on the throwback aims. The production here is very staggered and not cohesive at all. It feels as if this clanger was thrown together at last minute--if only for the reason to satisfy Sheeran's bizarre dream of collaborating with both Eminem and 50 Cent on the same track.

Track #9: Feels (feat. Young Thug & J Hus)
Grade: C-

Yeah, this one kind of sucked too. It is certainly better than Remember The Name. However, Sheeran is really the only part of this song that actually sounds good. I could do without the offerings of Young Thug and J Hus. They feel as if they are unnecessary additions to a track that could have been good as a solo prop track with some tweaking. I do also enjoy the production here, but not enough to bump this song up to an average grade of a "C".

Track #10: Put It All On Me (feat. Ella Mai)
Grade: A

Both Sheeran and collaborator Ella Mai sound terrific here. Put It All On Me is a very satisfying R&B duet. I enjoy how the chorus is primarily sung in Sheeran's falsetto and how Ella Mai delivers her angelic R&B voice with grace. The production here makes this one sound very dreamy and as if you're in a dream state when listening to it. The piano is a very nice addition as well. Overall, there really isn't anything wrong with this track. It is one of this album's few strong points.

Track #11: Nothing On You (feat. Paulo Londra & Dave)
Grade: C-

I suppose this one is alright. Well, if we are speaking on Sheeran's part. Once again, this is a track that could have been good as a solo offering. I don't really understand the necessity of having Paulo Londra and Dave on this song. The featuring of those two on this track have made it much less enjoyable. However, because Sheeran has a nice sound here, I was able to somewhat enjoy it. I also enjoy the solid beat on this song. But, this is nothing I will go out of my way to listen to.

Track #12: I Don't Want Your Money (feat. H.E.R.)
Grade: A-

H.E.R.'s vocal offerings and overall presence of confidence on this track are easily its highest points. While Sheeran also sounds okay here, H.E.R. is the strongest point on I Don't Want Your Money. The lyrical offerings here are also worth a mention, as they speak on the importance of time over money when it comes to balancing relationships in real life. The instrumentals here are also very flashy and add to the song's overall maximum level of confidence. And while all signs point to yes with this song, the only thing that is holding it back is Sheeran's inability to fully reach his true vocal potential.

Track #13: 1000 Nights (feat. Meek Mill & Boogie Wit Da Hoodie)
Grade: D-

This song sucks...except for the average vocal offerings from Ed Sheeran. Both Meek Mill and Boogie Wit Da Hoodie sound awful here and structurally don't really fit into this song. To make it even worse, this song really has no meaning lyrically other than inadvertently complaining about the efforts of being on tour. The production here leaves a little too much to be desired as well. Overall 1000 Nights is nothing more than a meaningless, structureless album filler.

Track #14: Way To Break My Heart (feat. Skrillex)
Grade: A-

I like this one. It is a nice love-inspired tune with good offerings from Skrillex. The melody here is excellent and Sheeran has the perfect vocal tone to deliver it (and all other parts of this song for that matter). I really don't have much else to say about this one, except for the fact that it was put together rather nicely. Way To Break My Heart is a winner in my book.

Track #15: Blow (with Chris Stapleton & Bruno Mars)
Grade: B

Blow is certainly something unlike anything we've ever heard from Ed Sheeran (and both collaborators for that matter). It is certainly a stand-out track on this album and it is certainly able to grab my attention. The guitar here is certainly my favorite part of the song. It showcases the undeniable rock-influenced energy on this track. What I don't like here is the meaningless lyrics that are hidden behind a rather boring chorus. Some parts of this song also blur together, which make it a little messy. But, overall, all three artists sound fantastic here and Blow could certainly be a song that could grow on me over many more listens. We will just have to see.

The Verdict: Despite its numerous flaws, No.6 Collaborations Project is a slightly above average offering. Sheeran attempts to crossover into many genres here. At some points it works, and at others it does not. Although it is admirable to see his adventurous spirit on this album, many of his offerings here are simply below the mark. All in all, No.6 Collaborations Project is a blur of failed authenticity and boringness that only breaks apart for a few tracks in within the album's course.

High Points:
  1. Beautiful People (feat. Khalid)
  2. South Of The Border (feat. Camila Cabello & Cardi B)
  3. Put It All On Me (feat. Ella Mai)
  4. I Don't Want Your Money (feat. H.E.R.)
  5. Way To Break My Heart (feat. Skrillex)

Acceptable Work:

  1. Best Part Of Me (feat. YEBBA)
  2. I Don't Care (feat. Justin Bieber)
  3. Blow (with Chris Stapleton & Bruno Mars)

Needs Improvement:
  1. Cross Me (feat. Chance The Rapper & PnB Rock)
  2. Take Me Back To London (feat. Stormzy)
  3. Antisocial (feat. Travis Scott)
  4. Feels (feat. Young Thug & J Hus)
  5. Nothing On You (feat. Paulo Londra & Dave)

Don't Even Bother:
  1. Remember The Name (feat. Eminem & 50 Cent)
  2. 1000 Nights (feat. Meek Mill & Boogie Wit Da Hoodie)

Thanks for reading! Don't forget to leave me suggestions to any albums or EPs you would like to see me review down in the comments below. I would like to review about two albums or EPs between now and the time Lover surfaces. I would like to keep the suggestions fairly recent (within the past year). The suggestions could consist of popular artists on the music scene or artists that you would like me to check out. :)

Spotlight Of The Week: Quinn Lewis - Hurt Me Now (!!!)

New Entrants

~ First up this week is Post Malone and Young Thug with Goodbyes. I very much enjoy this song. Both artists sound good here and I love the overall flow of the song. It has a catchy hook and a decent lyrical content (probably my least-favorite part of the song). All set aside, Post Malone delivers a nice pop-influenced feel with this track and Young Thug was able to dish up an enjoyable verse. I like Post Malone a lot more as an artist when he gives us songs like this. Songs like Better Now, Goodbyes, and Psycho are what I like to hear from him. He has a nice voice and he often puts it to waste on junky tracks.

~ Second out of two this week is Call You Mine from The Chainsmokers and Bebe Rexha. I have enjoyed what The Chainsmokers have been able to offer this year--and Call You Mine is no exception. Last year, their music was fairly forgettable. This year, they have been able to deliver enjoyable pop-influenced EDM tracks--which I am happy about. Bebe Rexha sounds very good on this track and the overall production and structure here is very nicely executed. I am glad that it is already off to a great start.

Entrant Rankings:
  1. Post Malone/Young Thug - Goodbyes
  2. The Chainsmokers & Bebe Rexha - Call You Mine

Hit-Bound
  • SHAED - Trampoline
  • Stephen Puth - Look Away
  • Miley Cyrus - Mother's Daughter
  • Sam Smith - How Do You Sleep? (DEBUT)
  • AJR - 100 Bad Days
  • Ellie Goulding & Juice WRLD - Hate Me
  • Asher Angel - One Thought Away
  • Zara Larsson - All The Time
  • Ed Sheeran, Chris Stapleton, & Bruno Mars - Blow (DEBUT)
  • OneRepublic - Rescue Me
  • Jonas Brothers - Only Human
  • Jax Jones & Bebe Rexha - Harder (DEBUT)
  • Mark Ronson/Camila Cabello - Find U Again
  • Thomas Rhett - Look What God Gave Her
  • Dominic Fike - 3 Nights
~ First up this week is Sam Smith with How Do You Sleep?, which is nothing amazing. Sam Smith usually delivers some pretty bland tracks, and this really isn't an exception. I suppose it has a little bit of curb appeal, but this song is nothing memorable in the end. I honestly don't care what happens to it.

~ With our best Hit-Bound debut of this week, we have Blow from Ed Sheeran, Chris Stapleton, and Bruno Mars. This song has a powerful feel and I enjoy how this song resembles rock in a nice and cohesive way. All three artists here have a nice sound, and I just enjoy the overall vibe of this track. I don't really have much more to say about it at this point.

~ Finally, we have Harder from Jax Jones and Bebe Rexha. This is another forgettable track. Bebe Rexha sounds alright here, but not her best. Jax Jones doesn't do the best job with the production, which is another reason why it is not the best song out there. Overall, it is alright; but neither of these two artists's best.

My Top 5 Hit-Bound Picks
1. Mark Ronson/Camila Cabello - Find U Again
2. Jonas Brothers - Only Human
3. Zara Larsson - All The Time
4. Thomas Rhett - Look What God Gave Her
5. Ed Sheeran, Chris Stapleton, & Bruno Mars - Blow

Blurb You Mine

~ The Chainsmokers and 5 Seconds Of Summer notch a second week atop the chart with Who Do You Love. At this point, I am already over it. I hope this doesn't have more than two weeks on top. It's such a boring song at this point.

~ So Am I and Sweet But Psycho kind of switched positions this week. Believe it or not, I actually find the former more annoying than the latter.

~ I am very thankful that Dancing's Not A Crime did not last in the top 10 after that massive jump last week. Again, this song is irrelevant and needs to leave the countdown altogether. As much as I love Panic! At The Disco, I think I have heard quite enough of Brendon Urie this year (aside from ME!).

~ Although it may be a small jump, I am pissed about any gain that The Git Up receives on this countdown. I will not be the slightest bit satisfied until it leaves...and even then I still won't be satisfied--because most of this countdown is absolute garbage.

~ That's about all I have to talk about this week...aside from the exits. I am happy that Break Up With Your Girlfriend, I'm Bored has finally left. That song had become incredibly unbearable. As for I'm So Tired..., it had a good run, but it was definitely time. So, anyways, at least we got rid of one bad song this week.

~ My Personal Chart (7/27/2019): http://crownnote.com/charts/jack-farrell/jacks-top-50-3

Hit-Bound

  • Ellie Goulding & Juice WRLD - Hate Me
  • OneRepublic - Rescue Me
  • Mark Ronson/Camila Cabello - Find U Again
  • Miley Cyrus - Mother's Daughter
  • Asher Angel - One Thought Away
  • The Chainsmokers & Bebe Rexha - Call You Mine
  • Post Malone/Young Thug - Goodbyes
  • Thomas Rhett - Look What God Gave Her

  • Zara Larsson - All The Time (DEBUT)
  • Stephen Puth - Look Away
  • SHAED - Trampoline
  • Bryce Vine - La La Land (DEBUT)
~ Up first this week is Zara Larsson with All The Time. I'm not sure if this is really a step up from Ruin My Life. Both songs seem equal in substance to me. This song has a nice production and her voice also has a decent sound. It is certainly not her best, but anything Zara Larsson is able to put out is certainly always worth a good listen every once in a while.

~ Next is Bryce Vine with La La Land. Hits 1 took YG out of this song which I saw coming. I don't know why they didn't pick up on this sooner. It has been out for a while. I think this song may be more of a guilty pleasure for me; seeing as I am usually not one to like songs like this. But, I don't know. It has a catchy vibe and I enjoy what Bryce Vine has to offer. It doesn't have much to offer lyrically, but I think it is a nice and fun summer tune. I'm not that upset about YG getting cut from this, as he was my least favorite part about the song.

My Top 5 Hit-Bound Picks
1. Mark Ronson/Camila Cabello - Find U Again
2. Post Malone/Young Thug - Goodbyes
3. Bryce Vine - La La Land
4. The Chainsmokers & Bebe Rexha - Call You Mine
5. Jonas Brothers - Only Human

Blurb Hurts

~ We now have a new #1...and it is too little, too late. The Chainsmokers and 5 Seconds Of Summer have finally reached the summit with Who Do You Love after spending an excessive amount of weeks in the top 5 of the countdown. At this point, I'm getting pretty sick of this song. So, I'm saying this song had its time and it is not now. If I had to pick, I'd say Shawn Mendes should return to #1--seeing as If I Can't Have You is the only good song in the top 5.

~ I don't really know why Someone You Loved made such a significant jump this week. At this point, I'm not at my peak liking of this song. So, I would prefer if it just went back down. #4 seems way too high for a song of this caliber.

~ And...we have three more entrants into the top 10 that I really am not liking seeing. Old Town Road made a big jump up to #7--which really annoys me. I don't understand why we can't just let this die out already. It's pissing me off enough that this is probably going to break the Billboard record for longest-running #1 in the United States. We also receive 5 Seconds Of Summer's Easier into the top 10, which really isn't anything I wanted to see. At this point, this song is pretty "meh". I don't really thing this song needs a spot in the top 10 right now. Finally, we have Dancing's Not A Crime which made way too much of a jump all the way up to #10--which is way too damn high. This song is so irrelevant. It is not even a Panic! At The Disco single, yet we are giving it way too much attention. This is such a space filler, and I don't understand why this radio station feels the need to pick up on such bland tracks that no one even cares about.

~ Doesn't look like that big entrance from Señorita lasted very long. At this point, I am just hoping this jumps into the top 5 and doesn't continue to fall--seeing as it is one of the only halfway-decent songs on this whole damn countdown.

~ Katy Perry took quite the fall with Never Really Over. Like I said with Señorita, this isn't the best thing I have ever heard; but it sure as hell needs to stop falling--because once again it's one of the only good songs we have left here.

~ Speaking of pretty decent falls, Halsey took a well-deserved one with Without Me--which needed to leave the top 20. Also, Taylor Swift and Brendon Urie took quite the fall with ME! (aka the best song here)--which makes me sad. I would rather have this in the top 20 than You Need To Calm Down. But, You Need To Calm Down isn't awful. So, I can't complain too much.

~ Hustle had a good second-week jump. I don't really care what this does at the moment. As long as it out-does Walk Me Home, I am good. However, Truth Hurts didn't have such a good second-week. Like Hustle, I don't really care what this one does either.

~ It is a good thing that The Git Up didn't do anything this week. This song is absolute trash and I hope that it has a terrible run here. It doesn't deserve any success.

~ It seems that 7 Rings and Break Up With Your Girlfriend, I'm Bored have pretty much swapped positions. I am actually okay with this--seeing as I find the latter way more annoying right now.

New Entrants

~ First up in this rather underwhelming class of debuts is Hustle from P!nk. This song has been around for quite a while now, and I really did not think that it was going to make it off of Hit-Bound. But, alas, here it is. Seeing as this song has been around for a while now, I am kind of losing interest in it--so it could be blue within the next couple of weeks (if it even stays that long). Her voice here is alright. I also like the energy and fun vibe to this song, but this is seriously nowhere near P!nk's best. Hurts 2B Human as a whole wasn't anything amazing. I much preferred the slower tracks on that album over the much more upbeat ones. All in all, this track is okay, but leaves a little bit to be desired.

~ Next is a song I can't even believe that I'm reviewing now--because it was released four years ago. I do not understand why a song that was released in 2015 is even here; especially one that is as irrelevant as this one. I have never heard of Public in my life, and Make You Mine is seriously one big snooze-fest. This song is boring as hell. The production is stale, the voices are lack-luster, and all in all this song is just IRRELEVANT. Yet another spot taken up on this countdown with a song that I can't possibly imagine anyone is voting for. Thankfully, I don't think it will last long. However, it could just be one of those annoying ass songs that just sits in the bottom 5 for weeks on end. I hope this leaves as soon as possible.

~ With our worst debut of the week and our new worst song on the countdown comes Blanco Brown with The Git Up. This is just a re-make of Old Town Road. It is obvious that this guy was just out for a quick cash grab--considering that America's music taste has gone to absolute shit. The Git Up is so much worse than Old Town Road, and that is saying a lot. While this song has more of a country vibe than the other, it is still nowhere near what classifies as a country song (I don't think most country songs classify as country songs nowadays anyways, but that's a different story). This guy certainly doesn't have a lick of talent. This guy has an awful voice and everything about this song is weak. The lyrics, the focus, the production--EVERYTHING. At this point, I'm just rolling my eyes at how bad America's music taste has gotten. The year of 2019 for music just keeps on getting worse and worse. I seriously hope that this song doesn't last long.

~ Next we have Truth Hurts by Lizzo. I am happy that she is getting recognition, but her better music lies in the songs that aren't released as singles. Sure, Truth Hurts has a little bit of curb appeal, but it really isn't anything special. I find it catchy and fun from time to time, but all in all this song is kind of flashy, out there, and a bit overrated. I don't think she should be focusing on rapping, because I think she has a bit of a knack for singing (ex. Juice). I don't really care what this song does at the moment, but eventually I think I am going to get sick of it.

~ Finally, we have the best debut of the week in my personal opinion (and it's not even that great)--Señorita from Shawn Mendes and Camila Cabello. They debuted all the way up at #8, making this the second-highest debut in countdown history. I don't know why this is a thing with Hits 1 lately. A lot of songs have been debuting above the #20 mark, when that rarely happened before this year. Anyways, Señorita, while being pretty catchy at first, is already starting to lose my interest. Both sound okay here, but this is neither of their best work. I personally think Shawn sounded best on his music from last year, and this song really wasn't that much of a stand-out for him in terms of my taste. Camila has her moments of sounding "meh" in her songs, and her moments of sounding extremely good--but here she just sounds "meh". Overall, I don't think I am going to be liking this song for too much longer. It is good, and way better than anything else we got this week (besides Hustle), but again nothing that was exceptionally well vocally, lyrically, or structurally.

Entrant Rankings:
  1. Shawn Mendes & Camila Cabello - Señorita
  2. P!nk - Hustle
  3. Lizzo - Truth Hurts
  4. Public - Make You Mine
  5. Blanco Brown - The Git Up

Hit-Bound
  • Miley Cyrus - Mother's Daughter
  • Stephen Puth - Look Away (DEBUT)
  • Dominic Fike - 3 Nights (DEBUT)
  • Ed Sheeran/Chance The Rapper/PnB Rock - Cross Me
  • SHAED - Trampoline
  • Jonas Brothers - Only Human (DEBUT)
  • Ellie Goulding & Juice WRLD - Hate Me (DEBUT)
  • AJR - 100 Bad Days
  • Mark Ronson/Camila Cabello - Find U Again
  • Post Malone/Young Thug - Goodbyes (DEBUT)
  • Asher Angel - One Thought Away
  • Thomas Rhett - Look What God Gave Her (DEBUT)
  • The Chainsmokers & Bebe Rexha - Call You Mine
  • OneRepublic - Rescue Me
  • In Real Life - Crazy AF
~ First up this week is Stephen Puth with Look Away. I enjoy this song. I think this is a step up from Sexual Vibe. I find the vocals more appealing and the overall production to be better than his debut single. Overall, this is something that I would like to see debut on the countdown in the near future.

~ Next up is Dominic Fike with 3 Nights. I like the chorus in this song, but the rest of it is kind of boring as of now. I think this one could definitely be a grower, but for now it is alright I suppose.

~ We now have another new Jonas Brothers song on Hits 1. Thankfully it is good, unlike the Sucker (at least at the moment) and Cool. Only Human debuts on Hit-Bound this week. I very much enjoy the vibe. It's very tropical-like. The vocals here are good and the overall production is solid. Although I prefer one of their non-singles right now, I am enjoying this one as well. If you have not checked it out already, I highly recommend I Believe from Happiness Begins. It is a very good pop song. I recently stumbled upon it and I enjoy it very much.

~ Next is Hate Me from Ellie Goulding and Juice WRLD. This definitely not a collaboration that I was expecting to be good--but this is actually a pretty decent song. It is kind of repetitive--which I don't like. However, neither of the two artists on this track sound that bad here. It certainly isn't her best, but I will take this song for the moment. In the end, at least this is a step up from Close To Me.

~ Now, we have the best debut onto Hit-Bound of the week. I very much enjoy Goodbyes by Post Malone and Young Thug. This could easily be his best song to date. He actually sounds really good here, and so does Young Thug. I enjoy the production here and the overall flow of the track is very nice. I would love to see this become a hit. I enjoy it and it is very catchy. It is certainly one of my favorites right now.

~ Finally, we have Thomas Rhett with Look What God Gave Her. I'm not really sure why Hits 1 decided to pick up on this song, but I guess I'm fine with it. At least it is not more Dan + Shay. Thomas Rhett is actually one of the best country artists out there right now. His music is fairly enjoyable. Look What God Gave Her isn't great, but it is good for what it is. The vocals are alright and the overall vibe is good. But, I wouldn't care if this made it to the countdown or not.

My Top 5 Hit-Bound Picks
1. Mark Ronson/Camila Cabello - Find U Again
2. Post Malone/Young Thug - Goodbyes
3. The Chainsmokers & Bebe Rexha - Call You Mine
4. Miley Cyrus - Mother's Daughter
5. Jonas Brothers - Only Human
