Andy Grammer (1) - Week Of July 25, 2015

Hey guys! This week's coundown wasn't bad, but some parts weren't completely good either. This week I give about an 8.5/10 or a 9/10, something like that.  Before we get to the countdown and the rest of the post, here is a list of songs we are saying goodbye to:

Biggest Drop! Of The Week: Wiz Khalifa/Charlie Puth - See You Again (-14)

Biggest Jump! Of The Week: The Weeknd - Can't Feel My Face (+17)

DEBUTS
Shawn Mendes - Stitches starts off our great week of debuts. I really like this song. Don't be surprised if this song is purple next week. I hope this song doesn't have a short tenure.

MKTO - Bad Girls is okay to me at some times and then it is great again. I really don't know what to think about this song. I hope it stays for a little bit.

Tori Kelly returns this week with her new song Should've Been Us. As you can see, I really like this song because it debuted at #18 on The Hot 45 Chart. I am really enjoying this song. I hope this stays quite a bit.

Finally, we have returing artist (again) 5 Seconds Of Summer with She's Kinda Hot. This song is really good. I hope this song stays a while as well.

SHOULD'VE BEEN BLURBS
I am really enjoying how most of the songs that I don't like dropped to the lower third of the countdown. Hopefully we can get them out of this countdown soon.

If Nicki Minaj - The Night Is Still Young leaves soon, I am going to be extremely angry. I love this song, it needs to be replacing songs like Uma Thurman, Want To Want Me, and Something's Gotta Give in the higher third of the countdown.

I don't see The Heydaze - Dumb and Selena Gomez - Good For You getting much higher than they already have been, but I would love to see them try their best. I hope they can do it.

So, Hey Mama, Where Do Broken Hearts Go, This Summer's Gonna Hurt, and See You Again have all dropped. Okay, I hope a couple of them will rise again.

I am really enjoying how Fire N Gold and Cool For The Summer have made small jumps and have new peaks.

The Weeknd - Can't Feel My Face has made a new jump. I still have no idea what to think about this song. Sometimes it's decent, other times it's pretty good.

I like how Fight Song has made a small jump when I start liking it a little more again.

Bad Blood needs to jump to #1 again. I don't want it to be like Style and jump to #1 and never go back to #1 again.

Honey I'm Good at #1? Well, I don't really care this week, but if it holds any longer, I will get angry. This song is now old.

That's it for me! Have a great day!

Biggest Drop! Of The Week: Taylor Swift - Style (-17)

Biggest Jump! Of The Week: DJ Snake/Aluna George - You Know You Like It (+25)

I'M BLURB

There are no debuts this week.

How much longer is Taylor Swift - Blank Space going to be staying with us? Watch it still be here in December.

Spyder said that I Really Like You had the biggest drop. No Spyder, it was Style.

The 20-35 area needs to change, nothing will move out of that range.

I'm liking that Good For You is in the top 20.

I am so happy DJ Snake/AlunaGeorge - You Know You Like It had the biggest jump, and it's in the top 15.

The top 10 needs to change we need to get 4/5 of the songs out of the top 10. NOW.

DEBUTS

American Authors return with Go Big Or Go Home. I liked this song, I really did. But after several listens, I just lost interest. This song may grow back on me a little bit though. I don't know how to feel about this, I guess it can stay for a little while.

The Mowgli's also return with I'm Good. This song is okay. I have mixed feelings about it. I like it, then I think it's okay. This song has entered The Hot 45 Chart twice, and left both times after one week. So, I guess this one can stay a while too.

Demi Lovato is also back with her amazing and catchy new summer tune, Cool For The Summer. I thought for sure this song would debut last week, because it had about 30 spins, but I'm not complaining. I really like this song! I hope it stays a while. But then again, if it were still here in February, that would be weird, because of the title. This song should stay for a while too, and I hope it does.

BLURB FOR THE SUMMER

I don't understand why songs like I Need Your Love, Fun, You Know You Like It, Dear Future Husband, and Marvin Gaye have gotten terrible attention on this countdown. You know why these songs aren't getting votes? Because people forget about them when Hits 1 plays them 0 times over the course of the week, and they overrate songs like Centuries, Jealous, Sugar, Thinking Out Loud, and Chains which have been here for months and are extremely old. This needs to be fixed.

I was happy to see You Know You Like It jump, this song only has jumped twice since its debut.

It's a good thing that Jealous isn't in the top 20 anymore, now it needs to leave the countdown forever.

Centuries was popular for very little time anywhere. If this song lasts a year, I will be extremely enraged. This song is so overrated by Hits 1. Hey Hits 1, could you please stop playing Fall Out Boy songs? Please? It always turns out bad, you keep them forever! I love you Hits 1, but please could you do that?

Of course Good For You and Dumb drop on their second week. I think they will just jump like The Night Is Still Young next week.

I happily listened from #28-#15.

Okay, Fight Song is getting old now. Hits 1 was a little late on this one.

Photograph's jump is acceptable...for now.

Bad Blood needs to hit #1 and stay there, please?

Shut Up And Dance still isn't getting old to me for some reason.

Biggest Drop! Of The Week: Shaggy/Mohombi/Faydee/Costi - I Need Your Love (-27)

Biggest Jump! Of The Week: The Weeknd - Can't Feel My Face (+21)

DEBUTS
Flo-Rida, Robin Thicke, and Verdine White did an amazing job on the new countdown song I Don't Like It, I Love It. I hope this song stays a while.

Selena Gomez is back with Good For You from her upcoming album, For You. This song is definitely something new and creative from Selena. I find this song one of her best songs ever released. This song should stay for a while as well.

The Heydaze have entered the countdown for the first time with Dumb. This song is really good actually. I thought it wasn't going to be worth it. This song is really good and I hope it stays on this countdown for some time.

I DON'T LIKE IT, I BLURB IT
Marlon Roudette - When The Beat Drops Out is still hanging on at #45. I thought this song would be gone in two weeks, but I proved myself wrong. This song looks like its tenure might not be coming to an end as soon as we think.

I'm glad that DJ Snake/Aluna George - You Know You Like It didn't leave us this week. I am in fact happy with two of our exits.

I think Shaggy/Mohombi/Faydee/Costi - I Need Your Love doesn't deserve to leave this quick. I personally think that Hits 1 has a problem with letting songs go to early. This is just ridiculous.

Nicki Minaj - The Night Is Still Young's drop is insane. It needed to jump, not drop.

I think the drop for Echosmith - Bright was much needed.

I see that Marvin Gaye and Fun are making small comebacks.

Jealous at #19? I think not! This needs to end. This song is nowhere else anymore! Get it off this countdown!

Style is now dropping. Okay, fine with me.

Rachel Platten - Fight Song is now starting to become okay. I have listened to the song a lot, and it is now getting overplayed on the radio.

The top 5 is the same, except all songs just moved to different spots.

I thought for sure that Bad Blood, would hit #1, but I guess not. I know it has at least a couple more #1's in it! Come on Taylor!

I'm still really enjoying See You Again. I don't hear it as much anymore, so when you don't here songs it makes them a lot more tolerable.

The Hot 45 Chart will be out soon. I had no time to get started yet. Hopefully, it will be out today.

TOP 5/RECOMMENDATIONS
1. Taylor Swift - Bad Blood
2. Nicki Minaj - The Night Is Still Young
3. DJ Snake/AlunaGeorge - You Know You Like It
4. Selena Gomez - Good For You
5. The Heydaze - Dumb

Recommendation For Hits 1: Natalie La Rose/Fetty Wap - Around The World

Star Pick Of The Week: DJ Snake/AlunaGeorge - You Know You Like It

Thanks everyone for reading! I hope your 4th Of July was fantastic! Have an awesome day!

2019 Year-End Post #4: My Top 45 Songs of 2019

2019, similar to years past, has been a pretty average year for music. There was a lot of bad, but there was also a lot of good. This year ...
