Entrants

~ To start off our week of great entrants, it's new artist Jordan Fisher with his debut single, All About Us! This song is such a catchy jam and it just makes you want to let loose and dance. I'd say this is a good starter song for your career and I wish him luck in the future on the road to stardom. I hope this song has some success on the countdown.

~ Our second entrant is Jacob Whitesides - Lovesick. Jacob has had some unsuccessful songs in the past, but this one looks like it will be his best performing track. I like this song's vocals a lot and the beat is really good. I hope it does good on the countdown.

~ Demi Lovato is back with Body Say! This song is really good! I honestly think it's one of her best songs. Nothing will ever top Heart Attack, though. That song was amazing. I hope this song has some worthy success.

HitBound

  • Fifth Harmony - All In My Head (Flex) (DEBUT)
  • Andy Grammer - Fresh Eyes (DEBUT)

Top 5 HitBound Songs
1. Ariana Grande - Into You
2. Fifth Harmony - All In My Head (Flex)
3. Katy Perry - Rise
4. Twenty One Pilots - Heathens
5. Troye Sivan/Alessia Cara - Wild

All About Blurbs

~ It's very satisfying that this looks like the end of Meghan Trainor - No.

~ I hope that Fifth Harmony - Work From Home is one of those hang around songs because we have more to worry about getting rid of at this point.

~ Selena Gomez - Kill Em With Kindness has done absolutely nothing at all on this countdown. It's really annoying that this will be another Ariana Grande - Focus. Too good that it has to flop.

~ One Direction - History is probably going to be the last we see from them in a while or even ever. That's kind of disappointing.

~ I also think Taylor Swift - New Romantics will be the last we will see from her in a while. That's really sad.

~ 5 Seconds Of Summer - Girls Talk Boys is getting worse and worse.

~ Meghan Trainor - Me Too is becoming a very catchy/odd song. I think this is a very good example of a guilty pleasure.

~ Calvin Harris/Rihanna - This Is What You Came For is only getting better after each listen.

~ Charlie Puth/Selena Gomez - We Don't Talk Anymore is just getting more and more mediocre.

~ The greatest song right now is Sia/Sean Paul - Cheap Thrills! I just can't stop listening to this song! It's like my Taylor Swift/Kendrick Lamar - Bad Blood of 2016.

~ Justin Timberlake - Can't Stop The Feeling! being at the top spot again is kind of annoying.

00007507.jpg (527×296)
Hey fam! So, I was supposed to go on vacation today with 21 of my family members in the same house (no this isn't a typo), but everyone screwed up the rental date, so we're going from July 24 to July 31 now. Entrants

~ So, yes, 5 Seconds Of Summer are back with the quite bland and uninteresting Girls Talk Boys. The beat is lame and their voices can be so much better, so this is a fail and their worst single released thus far. I really would like it if it weren't like their older songs and get a ton of success on the countdown, but with Hits 1's overwhelming love for them, that doesn't seem likely at all.

HitBound

  • Katy Perry - Rise
  • Jordan Fisher - All About Us
  • Coldplay/SeeB - Hymn For The Weekend
  • Magic! - Red Dress
  • Ben Rector - Brand New
  • Demi Lovato - Body Say
  • Bebe Rexha/Nicki Minaj - No Broken Hearts
  • Jacob Whitesides - Lovesick
  • The Strumbellas - Spirits
  • Flo Rida/Jason Derulo - Hello Friday
  • Troye Sivan/Alessia Cara - Wild
  • Alesso/Nico & Vinz - I Wanna Know
  • AJR - I'm Not Famous
  • Steve Aoki/Boehm/Walk The Moon - Back 2 U (DEBUT)
~ Steve Aoki/Boehm/Walk The Moon - Back 2 U is good, but nothing really special. I won't be devastated if it doesn't make it onto the countdown.

Top 5 HitBound Songs
1. Katy Perry - Rise
2. Demi Lovato - Body Say
3. Troye Sivan/Alessia Cara - Wild
4. Bebe Rexha/Nicki Minaj - No Broken Hearts
5. Coldplay/SeeB - Hymn For The Weekend

Girls Talk Blurbs

~ Ruth B. - Lost Boy was clearly a huge flop on this countdown. Oh well, I'll live.

~ Grace - You Don't Own Me isn't bad anymore! It's just going down the road to mediocrity.

~ Flo Rida - My House is your typical meaningless, but fun party anthem that just turns to trash very quickly. Flo Rida's music isn't something I highlight as my favorite, it's very mediocre except for a few of his singles.

~ Alessia Cara - Wild Things is clearly looking like a song that won't be lasting much more time. That's kind of a bummer.

~ Fifth Harmony - Work From Home is dying out. Maybe it can be the next Me, Myself, & I.

~ Symon - Say is old now. It is kind of like a rap/pop song, she tries to rap on several occasions and it kind of fails.

~ Selena Gomez - Kill Em With Kindness is doing a whole lot of nothing here. Which is kind of okay to me since I'm slightly growing out of it.

~ Lukas Graham - Mama Said is so much better than 7 Years!

~ I have a feeling that Drake/Wizkid/Kyla - One Dance isn't going to last long. I think it could pull a Wild Things.

~ I'm kind of still liking Twenty One Pilots - Stressed Out. It should be dropping though.

~ Panic! At The Disco - Victorious needs to drop. Like now.

~ Calvin Harris/Rihanna - This Is What You Came For has a special uncredited guest! Taylor Swift! Yes, yes, yes. I noticed that.

~ Sia/Sean Paul - Cheap Thrills better hit the top spot. I really love this song.

~ Mike Posner/SeeB - I Took A Pill In Ibiza is okay at this point. It being at the peak is kind of okay but kind of annoying.

Bottom 5 Countdown Songs
1. Flo Rida - My House
2. Lukas Graham - 7 Years
3. Zayn - Pillowtalk
4. DNCE - Cake By The Ocean
5. Panic! At The Disco - Victorious

Top 5 Countdown Songs
1. Sia/Sean Paul - Cheap Thrills
2. Ariana Grande - Dangerous Woman
3. Fifth Harmony - Work From Home
4. P!nk - Just Like Fire
5. Calvin Harris/Rihanna - This Is What You Came For

The Hot 45 Chart will be out soon!

~ First up this week is 1975 with The Sound. I understand that Hits 1 likes to explore other artists, but sometimes that fails. I mean, this song is definitely nothing special and I dislike it much more than their previous countdown song from a few years ago, Chocolate, that one was great I have to admit. So, this song is nothing worth freaking out over and to be honest, I really don't see Hits 1 keeping it for long.

~ Next up is Drake/Wizkid/Kyla - One Dance. This song is not as nearly as good as it was to me at first listen. Radio kind of killed it for me and now Hits 1 is picking it up late like Hotline Bling. If this has the same kind of tenure like Hotline Bling then I won't really be phased by it. I will probably get sick of it very soon anyway. It has a great tropical vibe and I like the sound, it's just getting a tad old.

~ Lukas Graham is back with Mama Said. This song was frankly almost unappealing at first listen. Then, I just listened to it a few more times to cure my boredom and well, it's got a catchy vibe to it, I'll give it that. So, it's green for the time being but don't be surprised if it's back to blue in a few weeks. It's just one of those songs. I kind of want it to take a smaller path than 7 Years because that got killed by airplay quickly.

~ Symon is here with her first countdown song, Say. This song was great for a long while, but now it's just kind of mediocre. It was stranded on HitBound for too long and got a little old in the process. So, I don't care if it flops or not, I don't really care for it at this point.

~ Demi Lovato is back with Body Say. This song is amazing! Heart Attack was previously her best song, but this one comes pretty close to being it. I just love her voice and the lyrics. It's so sultry. This song better debut the countdown because it's just too good.

~ 5 Seconds Of Summer are back with a disappointment track, Girls Talk Boys. This is their worst single thus far. It lacks something that makes all the rest of their songs better. I would prefer if it didn't debut on the countdown.

~ Troye Sivan and Alessia Cara make a fantastic team! I'm so glad they decided to team up for Wild, because their voices mix great together. They should literally be a duo, their voices are so amazing together. I really would love it if this song debuted on the countdown.

~ Coldplay/SeeB - Hymn For The Weekend is debuting here a tad late but it's still a great song so I don't care. I'm hoping it reaches the countdown.

~ Katy Perry is back people! This time with the uplifting track, Rise! I am having huge hopes that this will debut the countdown. It's definitely a great track.

One Blurb

~ I have grown back into Rihanna/Drake - Work, but it won't last long.

~ I had a feeling Ruth B. - Lost Boy would be a flop. It doesn't phase me at this point, though.

~ I'm hoping Fifth Harmony - Work From Home can make a rebound, but that doesn't seem likely at this point in time.

~ Alessia Cara - Wild Things clearly looks like it won't last long. I'm hoping it can stay, but I just don't know.

~ I have listened to Grace - You Don't Own Me several times to rescue me from my apathy. It just doesn't seem like a pleasant song to listen to anymore.

~ Selena Gomez - Kill Em With Kindness is clearly doing nothing. It's actually annoying considering it's a catchy song.

~ Kent Jones - Don't Mind has slightly lost my interest. I still like it though.

~ One Direction - History was destined to drop. A few years without them will be fine.

~ DNCE - Toothbrush better keep going. So good.

~ Twenty One Pilots - Stressed Out should be dropping, but I don't care.

~ Ariana Grande - Dangerous Woman is still one of my main jams. Such a good and sexy song.

~ Sia/Sean Paul - Cheap Thrills better hit the top spot next week. I'm so mad that it didn't this week. So good.

~ Adele is back...again! This time with Send My Love (To Your New Lover)! This song is a very good song. It doesn't top some of her older stuff like Set Fire To The Rain or Someone Like You, but it's still a good song. I hope it is another successful hit for her.
