New Entrants
~ Our first entrant this week comes from Kesha, returning with one amazing comeback single. The song is Praying. This song is easily one of the best songs that has shed light on radio this year. As of right now, it is definitely in my top 10 for this year. As you can see (if you were paying attention to the color code), this is now the best song here. The reason that this is such a good song is due to the very meaningful lyrics, smooth instrumentals, as well as the powerful vocals. It all calls for a good song. This was the lead single off of her new album, which was released this past Friday. I definitely recommend the album, as the songs are very well done and worth each listen. I am also enjoying her other recently released song, Learn To Let Go very much. I would like to see this song do well here. It is truly a very magnificent track.
~ Next up this week we have Demi Lovato - Sorry Not Sorry. This song does definitely have me feeling "bad" every time I sing it. The lyrics and vocals may not be the best Demi has ever had, but it's definitely a very catchy song. It may qualify for my Ultimate Guilty Pleasure Of 2017, but we'll have to see what the rest of this year will bring. I wish it the best here in the meantime.
~ Finally, we have The Chainsmokers returning with their next single, Honest. I really have been enjoying this song, all though I had questionable thoughts on it at first. I just really like the lyrics, they speak to me on several levels, due to many things I have gone through lately. Isn't being a teenager just the worst? Yeah, it can be, when people you thought you could completely trust drop you and make you think it's your fault for the relationship going all over the place, but it's not. Anyways, that was a side note. All in all, I hope to see this one do good here. I don't doubt it will.

Sorry Blurb Sorry
~ Okay, any time now. Imagine Dragons - Believer having three weeks on the top is long enough. If we're being honest here, one week was too much itself. I stopped believing in this song a while ago.
~ Let's talk about that jump from Luis Fonsi & Daddy Yankee/Justin Bieber - Despactio. It made it to the top three, and how coincidentally after I talked about it being underrated here. It wasn't fast, but at least it made it there slowly.
~ Linkin Park - One More Light guided itself higher this week. It is really amazing how so many people come together at such a tragic time, and how something so tragic can live on and people will be so supportive. I wouldn't be surprised if this was in the top 10 next week.
~ All Time Low - Good Times is doing pretty good for a song I didn't expect to have a good time here. I don't mind its success at the moment, so it's okay, for now, at least.
~ Ed Sheeran - Castle On The Hill is crumbling finally. I really didn't understand what the big hype was with this song on this station.
~ Halsey - Now Or Never took a decent fall, nearly out of the top 20. I guess, it was either now or never for this song. I really don't care.
~ Speaking of large drops to the bottom of the top 20, Lady Gaga - The Cure died a decent amount of spots, to round out the top 20 this week.
~ MAX/Gnash - Lights Down Low hadn't dimmed it's light yet. I was really surprised by it's jump this week. I had thought this one would just hang out in the same area forever.
~ AJR - Weak gained strength and made it out of that depressing fall last week. I was hoping this wasn't the end for this one.
~ Louis Tomlinson/Bebe Rexha/Digital Farm Animals - Back To You reverted backwards and went in the wrong direction this week. Here's to hoping that this doesn't keep dropping in the coming weeks.
~ James Arthur - Say You Won't Let Go is starting to let go a bit, thankfully. It is almost out of the top 30.
~ Train - Play That Song looks like it's decreasing in plays and will hopefully leave soon. I am sick of this station overrating such a poor song.
~ Julia Michaels - Issues clearly had some issues this week on this station as it took quite the tumble, almost into the bottom 5. I really hope this isn't the end for this one.
~ Steve Aoki & Louis Tomlinson - Just Hold On is still at the end of the countdown. I just want this to make a departure, I haven't been holding on to this song in what seems like forever.

#1 Recommendation for Hits 1: Phillip Phillips - Miles
ReplyDeleteGalway Girl should leave HitBound and not debut the countdown. Perfect should debut HitBound.
ReplyDeleteHey, look at you, you finally got a post out on time. :P
ReplyDeleteAnd if L.A. Devotee is your least favorite song in the Top 20 but it's not in the Garbage tier, I would think that Play That Song is the only one you'd have in the Garbage tier right about now.
And one more week for Closer, can it do it and be the first song to last a year here since SUAD?!?!
No, Closer needs to leave right away!!!
DeleteWell, bad news for you then, but good news for Jack: according to DogStarRadio, it's played three times today, so I can safely say that it's all but guaranteed to still be here on Saturday.
DeleteVery good! I would love to see it pull off a year!
DeleteBtw, people were messing with my name, so now it is stuck like this for three months.
DeleteNevermind, fixed it! :)
