Well, hey there everyone! Yes, Justin Timberlake - Can't Stop The Feeling! is still holding at that #1 spot. On a good note, I got my exit predictions correct. So, that's something good, but they're all not bad. So, I wouldn't have cared if they stayed a little longer. If I may add, this was a somewhat strange week.

New Entrants

~ Our first debut of the week is Kenny Chesney and P!nk coming at us with their new country-pop tune, Setting The World On Fire. This song was completely uninteresting to me at first listen, then it was okay, and now it's good. This song definitely is something different. We've had another country-pop collaboration earlier this year that wasn't very successful. That was Brad Paisley/Demi Lovato - Without A Fight. So, I would like to say I don't really like the former or the ladder more than one another. Anyways, on with the song. I'm not normally a Kenny Chesney fan, but is voice is better than it is on most songs on this track right here. P!nk, as always never fails to impress, so she did good on this track. All in all, this song could easily change from okay to bad again and then go from okay to good again. It's just one of those songs that I have mixed feelings about. I honestly wouldn't be devastated if it left early.

~ The second debut of the week is The Chainsmokers and Halsey with Closer. First, I'm jut going to say that The Chainsmokers have been killing it this year. First with Roses featuring ROZES, then Don't Let Me Down featuring Daya, then Inside Out featuring Charlee, and now this one. This song may be their best yet. I mean, it helps a ton that they put Halsey in this song. Her voice fits well and the lyrical content is extremely relatable to someone figuring out their life and finding bumps along the way. One more thing to add, Andrew Taggart has a great voice! He should sing in their songs more often. This element also helps to make me think that this is possibly their best single. I hope this song has some deserved success on this countdown because it is definitely one of my favorite songs this summer, let alone this year.

~ The final debut this week is Coldplay/SeeB - Hymn For The Weekend. This song is pretty good even though the original is more appealing. I really loved it back in early 2016, then I grew out of it. Now, I love it again. All in all, it was worthy for the highest debut of the week and I hope it has some success on this countdown.

Blurbs For The Weekend

~ It's good that a mediocre song dropped down this week. Oh wait! There were three of them! It's a good thing that Symon - Say, Timeflies - Once In A While, and definitely The Summer Set - Figure Me Out, dropped this week. Hopefully we can get rid of the latter soon.

~ It's nice to see Fifth Harmony - Work From Home hanging in there.

~ I didn't expect Panic! At The Disco - Victorious to last this long. It's old but it's still here.

~ It's kind of driving me crazy that Meghan Trainor - No is jumping and dropping all over the place.

~ No! This can't be the end of Ariana Grande - Dangerous Woman. It's too good.

~ It's saddening that P!nk - Just Like Fire had to drop so far out of the top 10.

~ Something good has happened! Twenty One Pilots - Heathens and Fifth Harmony - All In My Head (Flex) have both jumped into the top 20.

~ Okay. So, I've noticed that Hits 1 plays Demi Lovato - Body Say like this, "dreamland take me there because I want your best" instead of "dreamland take me there because I want your sex". I mean, the song is sexy, so why bleep out the word "sex"? I don't know. Hits 1 does that sometimes.

~ It just makes perfect sense to have Ariana Grande - Into You jump!

~ It's definitely a good thing that Sia/Sean Paul - Cheap Thrills is making a comeback.

~ Justin Timberlake - Can't Stop The Feeling! is hogging the #1 title. While I still like the song, this is extremely annoying.

    1. If there were more actual bad songs on the countdown, then it wouldn't have been in my bottom 5. It's only yellow.

      Delete
    2. I noticed that he doesn't have very many songs in red.

    3. Only 3 (including the orange song)

    4. I loved Don't Mind at first, and I still do. But it's become a little more uninteresting after picking up on artists like Lil Uzi Vert and French Montana.

  2. Why are there barely any songs in red?

    1. Because my opinion says I only dislike very little of the countdown, which is a good thing.
