New Entrants

~ First up this week, we have Liam Payne, yet another former member of One Direction with rapper Quavo, in his debut single, Strip That Down. With the addition of this song to this chart, we now have one song here from each former One Direction member. That is very interesting. Now, with this song, I would like to say that the vocals are the most attractive part to it. I enjoy the chorus in a weird way and I like singing along to it. The main downside of this song is the weird production, but when you look it, it isn't that terrible. Quavo does a decent job here as well, so that was refreshing. All in all, this is not the best debut single of any of the One Direction members at the moment, but it is very well in the running. For now, I would just like to enjoy this song without the annoyance of overplay and actually see it do well here.

~ Our second and final debut of the week came from the new old Miley Cyrus. She finally has returned, and this time, she has dialed down the crazy factor with the laid back song, Malibu. I almost got so used to the different side of Miley Cyrus, that this song was unattractive at first, but after repeated listens, I have definitely grown into it. I really like the vocal content on this track. That is the main sell for me on this one. The one small downside to this song, is the repetitive lyrics that could get old in the future, but for now, they are working for me. This was a good example to show that Miley is finally changing back to her old ways and I like this Miley better. I hope she sticks to her word, and that this one will do well here.

    1. And Bad Liar making that enormous jump on your Hot 45 chart is NOT helping.

As for me on the other hand, I find Issues to be so bad it's good.
