New Entrants

~ We have one new entrant this week coming in the form of Clean Bandit/Sean Paul/Anne-Marie - Rockabye. This one seems a tad bit tardy in coming here. The song has very good production and the song sens a very comforting message to all single moms struggling with caring for a small child. Both vocalists in this song are very good, as I expected them to be, and I would like to see this song do good here. It is doing very well everywhere else right now, so I don't see why not.

L.A. Blurbotee

~ Ed Sheeran - Shape Of You continues to hold atop the countdown. Although I do still like the song, I am starting to think that it will stay here until the 12 week mark. I would enjoy seeing some of the other songs in the top 10 take this spot before their window of opportunity closes.

~ Shawn Mendes - Mercy is still not giving up on the top 3. I really don't think this song is necessarily worthy to be #1, so I would prefer that it doesn't continue to bounce back from drops further to the bottom of the top 10.

~ I don't really think it was called for having Hailee Steinfeld & Grey/Zedd - Starving jumping back up over twenty spots into the top 5, but Hits 1 will be Hits 1. So, hopefully it won't last long.

~ I didn't expect Ed Sheeran - Castle On The Hill to get this high, and in fact this close to his other songs. Usually, Hits 1 likes to keep songs from eight to ten spots away from each other. I would prefer this song to stay somewhat away from the top though, as his current top song is better.

~ Speaking of unexpected things, Linkin Park/Kiiara - Heavy made a large comeback, having over a twenty spot jump into the top 10, being the biggest jump of the week. I really would like to see this song go further, so I wish it well.

~ Maroon 5/Future - Cold didn't last long at all in the top 3, or even the top 10 for that matter. I really would have liked this song staying longer, but I'm sure it'll be back.

~ Katy Perry/Skip Marley - Chained To The Rhythm took a fall out of the top 10 this week as well. I really would have liked to see this song stay longer as well, but likewise, I'm sure it'll return.

~ I'm getting quite sick of Twenty One Pilots - Heathens being in the top 20. It needs to start declining.

~ Rihanna - Love On The Brain has sure had a weird tenure thus far. Enough said.

~ James Hersey - Miss You took quite the fall this week. I'm not very happy about this, as it is a pretty good song. So, I hope to see it recover in the coming weeks.

~ On the note of large and quick falls, Noah Cyrus/Labrinth - Make Me (Cry) has also taken a fall rather rapidly. I would also like to see this song recover in the coming weeks, as it has been growing on me a bit lately.

~ Daya - Words is back at the end of our countdown. I honestly don't know if I have a developed opinion on this song leaving yet.
