Debuts

~ Finally a 7 DTHNOB week! I love these weeks!

~ Let's go from lowest debut to highest.

~ One Direction is back with Perfect. This song is a super catchy tune that oddly enough sounds like Taylor Swift's Style. Maybe they tried to do that because I sense that the song is about Taylor's relastionship with band member Harry Styles. I do hope to see some good success from this song without tons of airplay.

~ 5 Seconds Of Summer - Hey Everybody! is a copy of some older song and is good at some times and other times it is just bland and boring. I don't really care how well it does on the countdown as of now.

~ Demi Lovato - Confident is definitely one of my current jams. I love the message and the chorus is super contagious with the catchy fever. I hope to see this song have success like her other countdown song Cool For The Summer did.

~ Alessia Cara - Here was dying out on me last week. Now that it has aired quite a bit this week, I have grown back into it slightly. It was a difficult decision to put it in green but I did because the chorus is super catchy. The reason it was dying out on me last week was because the parts in between the chorus just sounds like she's talking and I don't like those parts. Anyway, I already see it is having some decent success telling by it's debut number. It could go up or down, who knows?

~ Fall Out Boy/Demi Lovato - Irresistible is one of the best songs out right now. I just can't stop singing the part where he says "I love the way you hurt me, it's irresistible." Demi made a nice addition to the song and it is definitely another one of my new jams as well judging that it debuted on The Hot 45 Chart last week at #28 two days after it was released. Anyway, I want to see it in the top 20 next week for sure.

~ Omi - Hula Hoop is okay. I liked it a lot when it first came out but now it is slowly wilting in my opinion. I don't really care where it goes but it definitely is not as popular as his terribly annoying last hit Cheerleader.

~ Here we are with the second highest debut ever! Meghan Trainor and John Legend both return this week, this time together with Like I'm Gonna Lose You. This song bounces between good and okay with me. I honestly didn't think it would debut this high. This is insane. If it had debuted 2 spots higher, it would have broke the record for highest debut currently held by Carly Rae Jepsen's Call Me Maybe at #13. This song can go wherever it wants as long as it stays a decent amount of time.

~ This was a spectacular week.

  1. For a sec, I thought Bad Blood jumped 37 spots to #1. I forgot about Wildest Dreams. I personally think Wildest Dreams as a bland Taylor Swift song. Defiantly her worst song.
