Biggest DROP!!!... Of The Week: Elle King - Ex's & Oh's (-17)

Biggest Jump Of The Week: Selena Gomez - Hands To Myself (+19)

Debuts

~ Okay, I'll admit it, Love Yourself was good for a while. Now, it is going down the road to red like most of Justin Bieber's other songs. I hope this song doesn't do to well on the countdown now. It's growing out on me.

~ It's official. Jet Black Heart is currently 5 Seconds Of Summer's best song. This has the late 90's boy band vibe to be for some reason. It's really catchy anyways.

~ Newcomer Dawin is here with Dessert. I hated this song at first, but now it's pretty catchy but starting to grow out of me as well. I honestly don't care if this song leaves in a week or two.

Hit-Bound

  • Troye Sivan - Youth
  • Rihanna/Drake - Work
  • Lukas Graham - 7 Years
  • One Direction - History
  • BORNS - Electric Love
  • Timeflies - Once In A While
  • Shawn Hook - Sound Of Your Heart
  • Pitbull/Osmani Garcia/Lil Jon - El Taxi
  • Tryon - Somebody To Love Me
  • Panic! At The Disco - Victorious
  • Demi Lovato - Stone Cold
  • We The Kings - The Story Of Tonight
  • David Guetta/Sia/Fetty Wap - Bang My Head
Top 5 Hit-Bound Songs
1. David Guetta/Sia/Fetty Wap - Bang My Head
2. Shawn Hook - Sound Of Your Heart
3. Rihanna/Drake - Work
4. Timeflies - Once In A While
5. Tryon - Somebody To Love Me

Jet Black Blurbs

~ Okay, Like I'm Gonna Lose You, Lay It All On Me, and Good To Be Alive (Hallelujah) are officially old. Get out please.

~ The countdown doesn't really get interesting until #25 now because songs like Can't Feel My Face and S.O.B. still are on the countdown.

~ Pillowtalk is getting better and better. I hope it continues to jump.

~ Stitches has finally dropped. Let's get it out of the countdown now.

~ For some reason, Hide Away is still great in my opinion. Kind of strange.

~ Adventure Of A Lifetime is getting old. The halftime performance on Sunday was terrible, the guests took up way too much time on stage.

~ Let's get Something In The Way You Move and Hands To Myself into the top 10 next week. These songs are really good.

~ This is getting beyond annoying. Drag Me Down is rarely played on any other radio stations for hit music anymore, yet it is still in the top 10 here. That nice little drop down to the 30's from this song a few months ago should've been the end, but yet people still vote for it. I just love the logic Hits 1 has sometimes.

~ Yay! Get Out Of The Woods into the top 3 and maybe to #1. This song is so good.

~ Cake By The Ocean at #2, fine by me.

~ Adele, as you all know now has tied for most weeks at #1 with Taylor Swift's Shake It Off and Walk The Moon's Shut Up And Dance with 12 weeks. If Hello, holds next week, that will be 13 weeks, racking up the most in Hits 1 #1's history.

~ So the Grammy's are Monday this year, and I definitely will be watching them. This week is also my mid-winter break. Here are the performer's as of now.
  • Taylor Swift
  • Adele
  • The Weeknd
  • Kendrick Lamar
  • Demi Lovato
  • Meghan Trainor
  • John Legend
  • Luke Bryan
  • Pitbull
  • Robin Thicke
  • Travis Barker
  • Justin Bieber
  • Jack U
  • Sam Hunt
  • Carrie Underwood
  • Ellie Goulding
  • Andra Day
  • Lady Gaga
  • Tori Kelly
  • James Bay
  • Rihanna
  • Eagles
  • Miguel
  • Greg Phillinganes
  • The Hollywood Vampires
  • Gary Clark Jr.
  • Bonnie Raitt
  • Chris Stapleton
  • Alabama Shakes
  • Hamilton Cast
~ So as you can see, the performers list is lengthy, but looks pretty good.

#1 Recommendation For Hits 1: Halsey - Colors

#1 Recommendation For You: Gwen Stefani - Make Me Like You

Bottom 5 Countdown Songs

1. Adele - Hello (#1)

Biggest DROP!!!... Of The Week: Andy Grammer - Good To Be Alive (Hallelujah) (-17)

Biggest Jump Of The Week: Adele - When We Were Young (+18)

Debuts

~ Well...I was not expecting Hollow to debut on the countdown this weekend. It only had 9 spins when I checked Dogstar Radio. Anyways, I am happy it did. Tori Kelly has phenomenal vocals in this song and her two previous hits, Should've Been Us and Nobody Love. I really hope this song has some success on this countdown.

~ Zayn Malik is back and not with One Direction this time...he's started a solo career under the stage name Zayn. Pillowtalk is really catchy and I personally think that he sounds better on his own and One Direction sounds better without him. I am hoping this song does well.

~ Ellie Goulding - Something In The Way You Move is sooooooooo catchy and a really good song to dance to. Ellie Goulding does good in this song and I hope this song does good, because all of her recent countdown songs have done exceptionally well.

Something In The Way You Blurb

~ Can Hey Everybody! and Here leave already? I am so over these songs!

~ Whenever I hear S.O.B. my ears bleed. Literally, not completely literally, but you get the point.

~ If Renegades jumps one more time, it won't be a gigantic deal, but it needs to leave soon.

~ Why did Roses drop? It is so good and popular! What happened?

~ The Fix is so catchy but doesn't have a good meaning at all. Nelly and Jeremih do a great job on the vocals.

~ Get Ugly is beginning to get on my nerves. I hope this isn't another Jason Derulo single where it overstays its welcome.

~ Why can't Drag Me Down leave the top 10? This is ridiculous! It is not popular at all anymore.

~ Can Stitches leave the top 10? I mean, I want to get some new green music in here.

~ I would certainly not mind if Sorry took the top spot, but Hello will probably break the record.

#1 Recommendation For Hits 1: Zendaya/Chris Brown - Something New

#1 Recommendation For You: DJ Snake/Bipolar Sunshine - Middle

New Artist To Check Out: We The Kings

Bottom 5:
1. Nathaniel Rateliff & The Night Sweats - S.O.B.
2. The Weeknd - Can't Feel My Face
3. One Direction - Drag Me Down
4. Ed Sheeran - Photograph
5. X Ambassadors - Renegades

Top 5:
1. Taylor Swift - Out Of The Woods
2. The Chainsmokers/ROZES - Roses

Love ya fam!

1. Adele - Hello (#8)

Biggest DROP!!!... Of The Week: R. City/Adam Levine - Locked Away (+18)

Biggest Jump Of The Week: Alessia Cara - Here (-16)

Debuts

~ Selena Gomez is back with Hands To Myself. I love this song. It is something different and more mature from her that I really like to hear. I hope this song stays a well while and doesn't get extensively overplayed like Same Old Love kind of did.

~ I have to admit, Adventure Of A Lifetime was kind of a disappointment to me. Don't get me wrong, it was good for a short while, I just expected more out of Coldplay. I like their old music better than their more recent music. I honestly do not care whether this song does good or bad at the moment. Maybe soon I will care, because it is skipping down the path to red.

Blurbs To Myself

~ So, last week New Americana was becoming old to me, but this week I grew right back into it. Probably not the best week to drop in my opinion.

~ Okay, I am over annoyed by the much overstayed welcome of What Do You Mean?. This is getting extremely ridiculous. Once S.O.B. leaves, or if it does soon, this song will be orange without any hesitation. It is so old and overrated.

~ Tove Lo - Moments is in the books with a jump! But only one spot.

~ I know everyone is now hating Wildest Dreams, but I still love it as much as I did when it came out and I show no signs of getting sick of it soon.

Can Stitches leave the top 10 already? Please?

~ One Direction - Drag Me Down isn't popular anymore and yet it is #4. Ugh.

#1 Recommendation For Hits 1: Shawn Hook - Sound Of Your Heart

#1 Recommendation For You: Missy Elliott/Pharrell Williams - WTF (Where They From)

New Artist To Check Out: Shawn Hook

Bottom 5 Of The Week:
1. Nathaniel Rateliff & The Night Sweats - S.O.B.
2. Justin Bieber - What Do You Mean?
3. One Direction - Drag Me Down
4. The Weeknd - Can't Feel My Face
5. Ed Sheeran - Photograph

Top 5 Of The Week:
1. Taylor Swift - Out Of The Woods
2. The Chainsmokers/ROZES - Roses
3. Taylor Swift - Wildest Dreams
4. Selena Gomez - Hands To Myself
5. Adele - Hello

Thanks for viewing! I am so sorry I am late. I had such a busy weekend! The Hot 45 Chart will most likely be out tonight! I am going to try my best to get it out by 8:00! It should be out!

Love ya fam!

1. One Direction - Perfect (#2)

Biggest DROP!!!... Of The Week: Rudimental/Ed Sheeran - Lay It All On Me (-25)

Biggest Jump Of The Week: The Vamps - Wake Up (+17)

Debuts

~ Conrad Sewell is here with his first countdown song, Hold Me Up. This song was on Hit-Bound and overstayed its welcome. Conrad Sewell has an amazing voice, don't get me wrong, but don't be surprised if in a few weeks this song is blue or pink. I don't know if it will have great success on this countdown anyway. It seems like one of the songs Hits 1 just plays and keeps for a couple weeks.

~ Disclosure and Lorde are back and this time together on their amazing EDM song, Magnets. This song also spent a little bit too much time on Hit-Bound, but I am newer to it compared to Hold Me Up. This song kind of repeats the same line but still has amazing vocals from Lorde and outstanding EDM from Disclosure. I think this song has a shot at being a song that has some success on this countdown.

Blurb Me Up

~ I am actually getting sick of Lay It All On Me. I am glad it dropped to the bottom of the countdown.

~ Yes, Like I'm Gonna Lose You is no longer blue.

~ Okay, What Do You Mean? Needs to leave the countdown already. This is getting completely ridiculous. It is a complete space filler and it is really overrated now. It was good at one point but now it is annoying and intolerable.

~ This is the second week in a row that Tove Lo - Moments has dropped. I really hope this song can pull a Ghost Town and not leave in a week or two.

~ Elle King - Ex's & Oh's has dropped into the 30's. Perfect timing because I am just starting to hate it.

~ S.O.B. is going the right way. Down. I don't like this song, I just don't think it really has any meaning and sounds like a bunch of mid aged guys making a song that sounds really bad. But that's just my opinion.

~ What is all the hate for Kamikaze? I respect everyone's opinions and all, but I think I'm the only one who likes it. I personally find the chorus really catchy. Maybe it's just my guilty pleasure...Nah... :)

~ New Americana is starting to really fade on me. It will be in the pink or yellow range in a few weeks.

~ Okay, so Adele - When We Were Young has made another jump into the 20's. It will probably drop back down to the low 30's next week, but fingers crossed it doesn't.

~ I Know What You Did Last Summer is very close to being blue or pink. There isn't a lot to it to make me like it that much anymore.

~ One Call Away is becoming really bland. What's happening? I used to hate this song, then love it, and now it is getting old again. It might be pink or yellow soon.

~ Here is becoming annoying. I can't stand it anymore.

~ Stitches has been in the top 10 for months and I have heard it too much and now is is bad. Airplay problems.

~ Drag Me Down isn't popular at all anymore. This is complete ridiculousness. It shouldn't be in the top 5, it is annoying. I don't think too many people like this song anymore. Who is still voting for this song?

~ I would rather have Confident over Perfect at #1, but I honestly don't care. I think this is the point in time that we just have consistent changing #1's. Same Old Love could be at the top spot next week.

#1 Recommendation For Hits 1: Zara Larsson/MNEK - Never Forget You

#1 Recommendation For You: Shawn Hook - Sound Of Your Heart

New Artist To Check Out: Lukas Graham

Flashback Pick On Hits 1: Nicki Minaj - Super Bass

Best Song On Hit-Bound: Ellie Goulding - Something In The Way You Move

Worst Song On Hit-Bound: Can't Decide :)

Bottom 5 Countdown Songs:
1. Nathaniel Rateliff & The Night Sweats - S.O.B.
2. Justin Bieber - What Do You Mean?
3. The Weeknd - Can't Feel My Face
4. Ed Sheeran - Photograph
5. One Direction - Drag Me Down

Top 5 Countdown Songs:
1. Taylor Swift - Out Of The Woods
2. The Chainsmokers/ROZES - Roses
3. Taylor Swift - Wildest Dreams
4. Adele - Hello
5. Nelly/Jeremih - The Fix

2019 Year-End Post #4: My Top 45 Songs of 2019

2019, similar to years past, has been a pretty average year for music. There was a lot of bad, but there was also a lot of good. This year ...
